Information Communication Technology (ICT)

ICT consists of using a range of technical equipment such as interactive whiteboards, tape recorders, CD players, floor robots, video recorders and computers.  Children learn extensively about ICT and are given wide-ranging opportunities to apply their skills in different areas of the curriculum. Each classroom has a minimum of 3 computers in each Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

All desktop computers are linked to the National Grid for Learning providing us with safe Internet and email access for children.  Every class also has access to our purpose built IT suite with 26 computers and a mobile computer suite with 16 lap top computers offering every child the opportunity to regularly access IT.

Children are able to search the Internet for specific information as well as sending and receiving e-mail messages.  Along with this, they develop skills in word processing, graphics, data handling and power point presentations.
