Tag Rugby
On Wednesday 31st March, we took part in the Barnsley Tag Rugby Finals. 10 children from year 6 had earned their place in the final by coming 2nd in the Penistone Tag Rugby Competition.
The team were as follows:
Liam, Jacob, Daniel, Ryan, Claudia, Beth, Leah, Nadia, Amy and Owen.
Despite cold, wet and windy conditions the team played with spirit and determination and achieved the following results.

Unfortunately, because we drew all our games, we did not progress on to the semi-finals of the competition but the team thoughly enjoyed the afternoon and should be congratulated for the team effort!!
Barnsley Rugby Club run junior sides for both boys and girls. If any of our year 6 children have enjoyed the rugby they have recently played in school and would like to play more, the club are looking for junior players and can be contacted at Shaw Lane Sports Complex, Barnsley.
